This wasn't from the market, but I wanted to show off this book I got recently. It's a beautiful modern collector's edition of Andrew Lang's Blue Fairy Book. I obviously can't afford the originals so I was excited to find this! I hope you enjoyed my market haul! What were your favourite items?

  This décor haul is mostly Dark Academia/ Neo-Victorian themed. Close-ups below. A set of three blue glass bottles. I will probably remove or replace the lids as they are a bit modern. I already removed one before I took the photo, you can see it in the picture below: This is one of my more Cottagecore finds. My thought was that these little ceramic pieces were to write your guest's names on. I am not sure if you are meant to use some kind of erasable marker? Let me know if you know their purpose! The Painted Kiss by Elizabeth Hickey, looks like an ex-library book. In this passionate and atmospheric debut novel, Elizabeth Hickey reimagines the tumultuous relationship between the Viennese painter Gustav Klimt and Emilie Flog, the woman who posed for Klimt's masterpiece  The Kiss  - and whose name he uttered with is dying breath. This beautiful domed display of preserved flowers and gold plated leaves is from Hawaii. Not sure of how old it is but apart from shallow scratches on

This one has been a long time coming! I took a lot of breaks due to some issues and learned a lot along the way! It all began when I found a secondhand quilt cover with two really pretty patterns: I used my go-to pattern for the skirt. I went with the longer length skirt (view A and B) with the ruffle from the edge of the quilt cover on the bottom. The ruffle. I initially cut out a different bodice but I didn't like the fit. I d ecided to combine the two different fabrics into a Gunne Sax inspired dress with the bodice cut from remainders of both fabrics and a different bodice pattern.  The bodice pattern I chose. The new bodice pieces. After that I abandoned the project for quite some time. The centre bodice and side front pieces refused to line up right. I checked and made sure I had cut them out right and I had. I received advice that I needed to notch them and they finally lined up!  For the sleeves I had a limited amount of fabric so I had to go with quite small cap sleeves. G

A modern Victorian inspired blouse with lace and pintucks. If you've been following for a while you'll know how much I love Victorian inspired items. Beautiful beads that catch the light! Vintage style spoon and metal trinket box. Possibly pewter. I love the tarnished look of the spoon. Gilbert and Sullivan The Gondoliers DVD A Child's History of England by Charles Dickens Even the back is beautiful! Harmsworth History of the World Vol 8: America. Excuse my weird vampire looking hand, I swear my hands actually look normal. I originally guessed this copy was printed in maybe the 50s, but perhaps it could be from the thirties. After looking into it a little these books were originally published in 1907-1909 but this does not look like the original version and I am sure it is a later reprint. The paper is glossy and photos are printed throughout without separate illustration plates as in the other book but it is still cloth bound. I am certainly not an antiquarian books expert
